Google’s Turkey Day Doodle

Google Doodle Thanksgiving 2011

Google's in style scrabble, which debuted Tuesday, is signally a virtual hand bomb to celebrate Thanksgiving. Don't remember what a hand out Turkey is?

When I was in grade school we victimized to make "hand turkeys"–that is, we traced our hands on a piece of paper, so sour them into rudimentary turkey figures victimisation colorful construction paper.

The scribble, which will presumably last through Grace, allows users to customize their own virtual hand turkeys by clicking connected versatile parts of the bird. There are six customizable pieces–cardinal feathers, the bomb's hairdo, and the turkey's shoes–each with 12 different options. Options include motley feathers, tin foil, roller skates, football helmets, and eye patches.

If you're too lazy to customise each individual man of your turkey, you can also click the wing to get a random selection of feathers, hairstyle, and shoes. Once you've successfully created an epic Kindergarten-esque masterpiece, you can share it on Google+ directly from the Google page, or you can grab a link and portion out it with other (non-Google+) populate.

Last year, Google posted a Thanksgiving dinner-themed doodle, good with recipes for from each one dish, courtesy of the Unshod Contessa's Ina Garten. In 2009, Google posted a Snoopy-themed Thanksgiving doodle.

The doodle should be up through Blessing, and may find its own page if it ends up being popular enough (and very much of interactive, "create-your-own" Doodles do). There are 2,985,984 different bomb combos you can create, so…get crackin'.
