How To Change Xp Pen Sensitivity

Enable Pen Pressure in Project Blue

Pen Pressure Sensitivity

Project Blue supports pen pressure sensitivity in a variety of programs and currently uses the Windows Ink tablet driver API. You can also adjust the pressure curve settings in the Project Blue sidebar by tapping the red ring button > Pencil & Stroke > Pressure Curve.

Here are the steps to enable pen pressure in some common programs. If your program is not on this list, let us know or check to see if there is a similar setting that needs to be changed to enable pen pressure.

Blender
Clip Studio Paint
Drawpile
Krita
Paint Tool SAI
TV Paint
Zbrush

Some programs like Photoshop CS6 do not have support for the Windows Ink API, so pressure sensitivity will unfortunately not work for these programs while using Project Blue.

Enable Pen Pressure in Blender

In Blender's menu bar, go to Edit > Preferences > Input > Tablet and change Tablet API to "Windows Ink".

Enable Pen Pressure in Clip Studio Paint

With Windows Ink enabled, in Clip Studio Paint's toolbar, go to File > Preferences > Tablet and select the "use TabletPC" option.

Enable Pen Pressure in Drawpile

Go to Edit > Preferences > User Interface. Check "Enable pressure sensitivity" and "Use Windows Ink". Restart Drawpile.

Enable Pen Pressure in Krita

Krita is defaulted to use the WinTab tablet driver API, so you will need to change this in Settings.

1
Go to Settings > Configure Krita > Tablet settings.Select "Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)" and click OK.
2
Go to Settings > Configure Toolbars and select " mainToolBar <Krita>" in the drop-down menu.
3
In the left side menu under Available actions, find and select the option for pen pressure ("Use Pen Pressure" or "Pressure Usage"). Click the right arrow on the arrow-pad in the middle to move it to Current Actions and click Ok or Apply.
4
Make sure the File toolbar is shown. If it is not shown, go to Settings > Toolbars Shown > select "File".
5
Enable the pen tip icon to Use Pen Pressure, shown here to the right of the undo and redo buttons.
6
Restart Krita.

Enable Pen Pressure in Paint Tool SAI

Pen pressure is only available in the Developer version (SAI Ver.2). Pen pressure is not available in PaintTool SAI Ver.1.2.5 or older. Project Blue uses the Windows Ink API.

In SAI's menu bar, go to Other > Options. Under the Pen Tablet menu, change Pen Tablet Control API to "Use Windows API" and click OK. Then restart SAI.

Enable Pen Pressure in TV Paint

In TV Paint's menu bar, go to Edit > Preferences > General andChange Tablet to "Ink".

Enable Pen Pressure in Zbrush

Zbrush is defaulted to use the WinTab tablet driver API, so you will need to change this in Preferences.

In Preferences, go to Tablet > Tablet Driver API > Stylus.
