Introduction:
Bayshore Guest Home and Gardens is a tribute to my father and mother, Reidar and Marianne Fjeld. They are my inspiration behind creating Bayshore as a special place. It has been my dream since I was a child after visiting patients with my mother to create a family home that makes it feasible for partners to age in place together even if they have different medical challenges. Partners are not separated in different sections of the facility which is often the case in large Assisted Living/Nursing Homes. Bayshore is a family friendly happy place that accommodates both individuals and couples in a home setting with compassionate and highly trained staff. It is an honor to serve our residents and the community.

What is the mission statement of Bayshore Guest Home?

Bayshore Guest Home and Gardens considers it an honor to serve our residents and community, to provide customized care that respects the dignity of residents and to deliver that care in an attractive and intimate setting. A priority is placed on the mental, emotional and spiritual health of our residents.

We make it our mission to raise the standard of care for assisted living in the greater southwest Florida area. We believe in giving our residents the respect they deserve and to be compassionate caregivers. It is an honor to serve our residents, the township of Nokomis and the greater southwest Florida area. Bayshore Guest Home and Gardens welcomes couples and will make separate financial fees to accommodate the independent spouse. We are a residential Assisted Living Facility and Limited Nursing Services Residence located in Nokomis, Florida. Our services include full-time assisted living 24/7 as well as short and long-term respite care.

The concept of the boutique-style Assisted Living Facility is to customize the resident care in order to enhance each resident's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

It has been a dream for the owner since she was a child to provide services to elderly clients in a caring home setting. She accompanied her mother visiting many elderly people from childhood through her college years in different parts of the world. Her desire to provide the absolute highest quality of care has deep-seated roots and it shines through in everything at Bayshore!
